and safe return to work. Light duty, modified duty, and temporary
transitional work options are discussed. Worksite evaluations are
performed and accurate job descriptions are developed. The attending
physician is educated as to the physical requirements of the job,

Services
If the injured worker cannot return to work with the employer
of injury, then Med NY is able to provide assistance in vocational
rehabilitation and job placement services. Certified, master’s
level vocational counselors are utilized to perform vocational
assessments, transferable skills analyses, plan development, job
readiness coaching, and direct job placement assistance. Our
goal is to assist the injured worker in a timely and safe return
to gainful employment.
Med NY is also able to provide Hypothetical Vocational
Evaluations, to assess an individual’s level of employability. Whether
it be an abbreviated vocational assignment, or full-scale vocational
rehabilitation assistance, Med NY has the range and flexibility
